As an I.T. Operations Specialist, you will be part of the team responsible for assuring platform stability and 100% global up-time access to the SEOEngine.com and its entire infrastructure.
Job Description:
The I.T. Operations Specialist will be in charge of overseeing the continuity and integrity of the infrastructure that runs the SEO Engine™ software platform. This position will need to be able to travel to data centers to inspect, troubleshoot, fix, upgrade, install, and maintain infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Install new servers as our Linux server farms grow.
Help test and troubleshoot new server hardware components and designs.
Install switches, routers, and other networking gear.
Fix broken servers (replace hard drives; replace bad sticks of RAM, etc.).
Configure and troubleshoot Linux OS related issues on our servers.
Backup critical components and ensure continuity throughout.
Some travel required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from accredited college or 5+ years relevant
experience in Network Engineering
Minimum of 2 years working with PC hardware.
Cisco certifications preferred (CCNA, CCNP, etc)
Very strong Linux
E-commerce open source Apache and Tomcat
Network Security technologies including Cisco PIX and FSM
firewalls, complex ACL, IDS
Hardware Load Balancing technologies from F5, Cisco, or
similar
Software Load Balancing technologies such as HAProxy or similar
Linux operating system, preferably an Enterprise-class
distribution, such as RedHat
Bash shell scripting, Perl
Common network-based services such as LDAP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP, etc.
Must have worked in and believe in an Agile environment
Proven leadership qualities.
Able to lift/move 20-30 lbs equipment on a daily basis.
Experience in troubleshooting and installing operating systems, networking equipment, and software.
Must be able to work "odd" hours, and be able to respond to emergencies promptly.
